A customer wanted the front door of his house, whose fiber glass had been severely damaged by exposure to ultraviolet rays, to be refinished the color mahogany.
Because it was the middle of winter, we built an enclosure on the front porch to insulate the project from the elements. This way, our finishing products would have time to cure at temperatures recommended by the manufacturers, and the customer’s house wouldn’t be exposed to the cold.

A Finn Juhl Chair We Reupholstered
An antique dealer brought us his beloved Finn Juhl chair. Rather than donating the piece to charity, he allowed us to use it as a D&R teaching aid for new employees.
As such, this treasure, once thought to be too expensive to restore, was given a second life in the art of cushioning, double-stitching, folding, refoaming, rewebbing, and all the other tricks of the trade.

A nice woman from Montclair, Virginia, came to us to reupholster two precious wingchairs and a footstool that belonged to her mother. We stripped the furniture down to the frame:
